BOOKMARKS: SET 16

Screen shot 2013-11-27 at 9.28.46 PM-This post from Musicademy about what a congregation needs to hear in worship. Good reminders!

-I’m all about the BINGEWATCH. Here’s a list of shows that can be binged in 9 hours. Pretty manageable, I’d say!

-Oh, man. Please let this be real. PLEASE LET THIS BE REAL.

-Just added a funny, interesting podcast called James Bonding. In their first episode, they referenced this video revealing the man responsible for Bond using the Walther PPK.

-I’m almost finished with Double Cross: The True Story of the D-Day Spies. It’s a massive story and starts a little slow, but it’s a great book.

-Not only is this a sweet article, but it reinforces how important color can be in any artistic endeavor.

True – but gross – ways to wish someone a happy birthday.

*Since I love Batman, I’ve decided to have at least one Batman-themed link in each post. I think I can do it. Here.

BOOKMARKS: SET 13

ah-social-network-Sure, there’s a funny end to this video. But don’t overlook the awesome song playing in this video.

-Small quote on relationships with artists. Don’t like the metaphor, but the last line is dead on.

-One more JFK post. Had never heard of this before. In hindsight, it seems really weird they kept performing.

-I enjoyed these way too much.

-Realized lately how few 80’s teen movies I’ve seen. (Not complaining.)

-Oh, hey, look. Somebody actually experienced my worst nightmare and put it on YouTube! (MAJOR LANGUAGE WARNING.)

-What’s scarier? Zombies or people who are obsessed with zombies?

-Was shocked to learn that East Texas is the epicenter of “patent trolling.” One interview referenced cases being filed out of Marshall, Texas. Had no idea about this!

BOOKMARKS: SET 5

Screen shot 2013-11-09 at 9.44.53 PM-I get the frustration of calling a movie “World War Z,” when it was almost comically unlike the book, but man, that book’s terrible. Lots of people loved the movie (including me) and there may be another one.

-There’s a football player named “Richie Icognito”? Is that real?

-I love Barry Katz’s “Industry Standard.” There are great behind-the-scenes stories and inspiring lessons about hard work and risk.

Andy Samberg is proof that sometimes, people are just funny without even trying very hard.

-Had my first Steak N’ Shake milkshake this past weekend. MAMMA MIA.

Finally started Hell On Wheels. I get it now. GREAT show.
